do you need a prayer? The prayer chain is
available at all times for your prayer request. If you have a
prayer request, please call Dot Polston, Norma Paulin or Carol
White. We need more links added to our chain - if you believe
in the power of prayer; you can add powerful strength to our
chain. We need you and you have only one call to make to pass
on a prayer request. Call Dot Polston if you would like to be a
part of this powerful ministry. |

BUDGET BRUNCH
- TODAY - 9:30 am - Price Hall
- How does the Church spend money? What are
our plans for 2008? How do these decisions get made? Do you
have input that concerns you? How are we doing (financially) in
2007? What does it take to keep Federated Church operating at
its current level? What is the prospective budget for 2008?
The Stewardship Ministry Team will host today’s “Budget Brunch”
where we get to ask all our questions (and make any comments)
about church finances. Coffee, tea, juice, muffins and fruit
will be provided. Members of the Finance Team will be present
to respond to all questions and to listen to all comments. Come
be a guest of the Stewardship Team. |

moves. Bring your questions and experiences as we continue to
live life to its fullest. |

What kind of gifts shall I give the people
I love at Christmas?
Are there
alternative gifts which would also help others? Please be
considering the Alternative Gift Market on Sunday,
November 18th from
9-11:30am in Price Hall You can purchase anything from
blankets, school kits, safe water supplies, a water buffalo (to
be distributed by Church World Service in the US and all over
the world for disaster relief and help wherever needed) or
little bags of grain to fund a granary in a village in the
Cameroons to assure the villagers of ongoing source of grain.
Christi Boyd told our children and many adults of the importance
of this project and several villages already have been helped
with granaries. It takes about $2,500 to establish the granary
and to train people to run it. We traditionally have supported
Church World Service at our Alternative Gift Market and are
excited to add the granary project. There will also be
information about Heifer Project which you can take home.
Please join us and choose from many possibilities. |
|
Peacemaking Offering -
Our
congregation, with a special offering from the children, gave
more than $2,000 to the Peacemaking Offering. One third will be
sent to the United Methodist Church for projects promoting peace
at home and all over the world; one third will be sent to the
Presbyterian Church USA to help with special projects dealing
with HIV/AIDS in Africa; and one third will be used locally for
a project, which is still being determined, to promote
cooperation and peaceful ways of solving problems among the
young people in our community. Many thanks for you generosity! |

ALERT! ALERT!
COMMUNION NAPKINS HAVE GONE AWOL AGAIN!
If you know of
the whereabouts of any of them please see that they are returned
to the kitchen. They are stored with communion supplies under
the island, not in the drawer with the dish towels. |
|
Classic Dry Cleaners,
with locations in the K-Mart shopping center in
Placerville and the Bel Air shopping center in Cameron Park,
will donate 10% of the cost of services they provide to those
who attend Federated Church back to the church. The process is
simple - you take your cleaning and alterations to Classic
Cleaners and then put the receipt they give you in the box
marked "DRY CLEANERS" in the church office. A volunteer will
take the receipts to the cleaners once a month and receive a
check for the church equal to 10% of the cost of the services
provided. |

screenings will be offered from 10:00 am-12:00 pm at the
following locations:

concerned about memory loss, whose family and friends have
noticed changes in them, or who believe they are at risk due to

have a baseline score from which to compare in the future. No
appointment is necessary. For more information call 621-6180
