community and the world; and to experience
what it means to be children of God.

THE GOALS WE
SHARE
One of the most
important goals of our program is to help each child build confidence and a positive self image. Activities such as
making decisions and building friendships allow a child to develop self control, social
awareness and problem solving skills. Our teachers create opportunities, which help
children expand o their growing skills and challenge themselves. We provide a balance
between child-initiated and adult-initiated activities.

FAMILY INVOLVEMENT
Strong ties between staff
and the family are encouraged. Parent-teacher conferences allow special attention to individual needs.
Special family events such as holiday parties
and ethnic snack celebrations help all of us grow in
our appreciation of cultural diversity. Parents
are also encouraged to volunteer in the
classroom, to help with special projects, and to
serve on the Early Childhood Education Board.

EACH DAY IS A NEW
ADVENTURE
Our preschool
program is designed to encourage active exploration in a safe, caring supportive environment. The multicultural
experiences provided reflect a respect for diversity. The daily schedule is based on the
developmental needs of the children and our activities encourage the interests of growing children
through abundant opportunities for choices and decision making. Our learning centers contain
a variety of materials accessible for children’s exploration and discoveries are celebrated. The Infant Room is
designed to foster individualized, child-directed learning in a loving and safe environment. We provide
respectful, responsive relationships and experiences that contribute to healthy
development. Our teaching staff has specialized training in infant development, and a primary
caregiver is assigned to each child.
