Upcoming Events to Put on Your Calendar:

Biblical Brains and Catequest Classes  NOTE SCHEDULE CHANGE

Catequest is an introduction to God, the Bible and our Christian Faith for children in the third grade.  Biblical Brains is a beginners guide to the Bible for children in the fourth grade.  Classes will be held October 21st, 28th  & Nov. 4 during our regular Sunday morning class time. Recognition takes place on Sunday, November 4th at the 9:45 worship service.  If you have a child in these age groups, let them know that this important "milestone" is coming up!  Sign ups are required.

October 21, 2007: Children’s Sabbath Sunday  A day to consider children in need.

During worship this day, we join the Children’s Defense Fund and many other faith communities encouraging prayer, education and service to help children and families in need.  We recognize the directors and teachers of our Federated Church Preschool.   We invite the congregation to contribute to the Arlene Peter’s Memorial Scholarship Fund which assists our preschool families if they have a time of need.   (Did you know that our preschool is the only preschool in El Dorado County to offer such assistance?)

Trunk or Treat  October 28, 2006  Sunday Evening

5:00pm to 7:00ish  (Trunk set-up at 4:30pm.)  Federated Church Parking Lot

What is it?  A Safe and Festive Place to Trick-or-Treat

Federated Church friends decorate their car trunks and fill them with goodies to be handed out.  Cars are parked so that kids in costume can walk trunk-to-trunk saying, “Trunk or Treat!”   Starting at 5:00pm, enjoy carnival games and face painting.  Enter the CUPCAKE WALK to win an assortment of delectable cupcakes.  Carve a pumpkin and enter to win the CARVED PUMPKIN CONTEST. Come hungry and have a hot dog at the snack bar.  Trunk or Treating is kicked-off by the ringing of the church bell.  When the sun starts to go down, we have entertainment, juggling, performances and our annual MONSTER MASH DANCE.  Be creative with your costumes, but please avoid violent/evil themes.  Thanks!
