Family Flu Prevention Tips!

·         Wash your hands often with soap and water, especially after you cough or sneeze.  Alcohol-based hand cleaners are also effective.

·         Try to avoid close contact with sick people.

·         Avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth.  Germs spread this way.

·         If you get sick with flu-like symptoms, stay home from work or school or church until your fever is gone for at least 24 hours. Limit contact with others to keep from infecting them.

·         Cover your nose and mouth with a tissue when you cough or sneeze, and throw the used tissue in the trash.

P.A.T.H. Exercise Classes

Physical Activity for Total Health (P.A.T.H.) offers two exercise classes on Tuesday and Fridays.  Fun, fitness and friends describe the hour long classes which begin at 8:30 or 9:45 am.  The teacher, Sonja Lujan is a certified fitness instructor and leads the class using a combination of stretching, resistance, and weight lifting exercises that culminates in a period of cool down and relaxation.  The class is designed for those 55+ years of age, yet is open to all who want to get fit!  Registration and consent forms must be completed prior to starting to exercise.  The consent forms can be downloaded.  Please contact the Health Ministry at 530-622-0273 when you are ready to begin the class for an introductory session with the Faith Community Nurse.
