Youth Ministry at Federated
New youth are welcome to come anytime and join us for active games, outings, sharing, scripture and discussion, fun activities and friendship. At Federated Church the youth have input in what they want out of their own group and help with all aspects of the evening. We are actively involved in service and stewardship here and on our many adventures, always growing in our faith as followers of Christ. Join us and find a home at Federated Church Youth Group.
Youth Group Action and Updates
Sixteen youth group members came on the Tahoe Retreat at Zephyr Point and I am grateful for their positive energy and good attitudes. Not only did they get along well with each other, they also enjoyed the company of the our entire church family aged 3- 93. We learned about letting go of our fears and embracing joy from Rev. Helen Mansfield and made journals and built wooden boats together. Federated Church is blessed with a wonderful group of teens and a loving community to surround them as they become adults.
This week at youth group we continue our Food Theme "Breaking Bread Together", recognizing God with us, giving thanks, dealing with brokenness and seeking unity. We will have a wacky dress up dinner party, make food sculptures and read scripture about the last supper and other passages involving Jesus providing and sharing meals with so many. We also hope to make bread for Church Communion soon…
Sierra Service Mission Project testimonies will be given on Sept. 12 at both services.

Confirmation Class Being Offered This Year We are offering a Confirmation Class for those young people age 13-18 who have not yet been confirmed. The class will be held on the first Sundays of the month starting in October from 9:15-10:30 during our first service. We will meet for 6 sessions through April and develop a deeper understanding of Christianity so that the youth can claim the faith as their own.
