Labor Day Weekend
September 5, 2010
All Church Worship
and Barbeque Picnic
Join in the fun on
Sunday, September 5 as we gather for one worship service, at
10:00, in the sanctuary, then reconvene across the street at
Sierra School for an All-Church Barbeque Picnic. Gordon Prow and
crew will be grilling burgers, veggie burgers, and dogs, and
water and lemonade will be available. Bring a side dish or
dessert to share and sit down to eat with old and new friends.
There are covered picnic tables, but lawn chairs, blankets and
shade canopies would be great! Jodie has some games planned,
Betsy and her band will entertain, and a good time will be had
by all!

Music Ministry
We are so excited to have our choirs begin a new "Praised
Filled" year!
Being involved in Music Ministry is such a
privilege and profound responsibility. Singing in choirs, praise team, bells or
playing an instrument is giving the Holy Spirit a vehicle to touch the hearts
and lives of others.
I pray that your family will prayerfully consider
being part of this wonderful life changing ministry. We offer a choir
opportunity for every age!

Ministry
Health Ministry…responding to Christ’s call to
bring healing and wholeness to all.
New!
Caregivers Unite group is forming.
Are you caring
for a family member and wonder if there is more you can do, or feel
frustrated or alone? We are the group for you! The classes will
be facilitated by Karen Shelnutt, Faith Community Nurse. This group is
open to the community, if you know a friend who might be interested,
please invite them.

Youth Ministry
Senior and
Junior Highs (6th-12th graders) meet for the summer from 6:00pm
- 8:00pm
Confirmation Class
Being Offered This Year
We are offering a Confirmation
Class for those young people age 13-18 who have not yet been confirmed.
The class will be held on the first Sundays of the month starting in
October from 9:15-10:30 during our first service. We will meet for 6
sessions through April and develop a deeper understanding of
Christianity so that the youth can claim the faith as their own.
