CA-NV United Methodist Foundation Funds
El Dorado County Federated Church has three funds invested with the California-Nevada United Methodist Foundation, which was established by the CA-NV Annual Conference in 1964 to serve Northern California and Northern Nevada United Methodism. Contributions to these funds can be made by check. Contact Dave Fredlund, Federated Church Treasurer, at [email protected] for more information about how to contribute to one of these funds.
Federated Church Trust Fund
This trust fund was established in 2015 by Federated Church with proceeds from the sale of church property in Diamond Springs. These proceeds are invested with the CA-NV UMF and the dividends are reinvested. Use of the fund and proceeds are unrestricted.
Health Ministry Endowment Fund
This endowment was established in 2006 by Federated Church’s Finance Committee with proceeds from a stock transfer. This gift is invested with the CA-NV UMF with income designated specifically for Federated Church’s Health Ministry Program. All proceeds from this endowment are restricted to health ministry with the corpus of the original transfer protected. Federated Church’s Health Ministry Team oversees the use of these proceeds.
Leroy L. Peters & Arlene M. Peters Endowment Fund
This endowment was established in 2017 by LeRoy L. “Pete” Peters, a long-time member of Federated Church.
As the surviving trustmaker, Mr. Peters gifted a portion of the Peters’ Charitable Remainder Unitrust to El Dorado County Federated Church. This gift is invested with the CA-NV UMF and the dividends are reinvested.
Use of the proceeds are unrestricted, but the corpus of the original gift is protected.
