Welcome young people and their families!  This progressive youth ministry serves Junior High and High School age teens and their families.  Our thriving youth ministry at Federated exists to support youth in becoming people of service, compassion, and open-mindedness.  Young people are encouraged to model the life of Jesus Christ as they learn how to seek and experience God in their everyday lives.

Our youth ministry strives to support young people to:
  • Foster community and make friends
  • Prepare to serve in the community and in the world
  • Celebrate and embrace differences
  • Uncover spiritual gifts
  • Learn more about Christianity

​We engage in weekly youth group activities that typically include fun games and projects, sharing about school and life, and learning about our faith.  Also, youth have participated in service projects in Mexico and various locations on the West Coast.  All youth are welcome to participate in this inclusive group of young people!

About our Children and Youth Director:
​       Amanda Anderson grew up going to Federated Church and went through both the Jr. and Sr. High groups. ​She graduated from CSU Chico and moved back to Placerville after marrying her high school sweetheart, Reed.  They now have three kids, 6 year-old Benjamin, 4 year-old Owen, and 2 year-old Caleb. Amanda loves working at her 'home' church and thoroughly enjoys playing games, talking, and learning with our youth. 
        Amanda is currently an Inquirer of the PC(USA) and is attending seminary at United Theological Seminary of the Twin Cities. ​
