​Food Ministries

SHARE food closet is located at Federated Church.  Six churches in the community work together to feed families who are hungry and need food.  Volunteers assist with sorting and distributing donations.  The first Sunday of each month is Share Sunday, when food donations are encouraged.
S.H.A.R.E. is open 10 AM -12 PM,
​Monday, Wednesday, and Friday
Federated Farmers Market offers tables overflowing with fruits, vegetables, flowers and herbs in the summer months.  Federated Church gardeners donate extra bounty from their gardens and shoppers enjoy the farm fresh tastes.  Donations support SHARE and local mission projects.
​Upper Room offers a free dinner every day for
the hungry in our community.  Help cook and/or serve
​on the Federated Third Sunday of each month.

​The Little Help Backpacks Program exists to help families at Sierra School Placerville "make ends meet" at the end of each month.
     We collect donations of healthy, shelf stable food throughout the month, adding fresh produce the week of delivery. 

A recent message from a grateful client:

I was able to get help from your Food Pantry once years ago.  I am doing a secret shop for the Postal Service that requires that I mail a package.  I am donating this to the Food Pantry.  It’s not a lot, but I hope it helps someone.
