Neighbors

​NEIGHBORS is a group of people who are committed to modeling Federated Church's mission of inclusivity and invitation to everyone, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity.  We invite all to explore and live the message of Jesus through:

• Teaching the scriptural basis for Jesus' radical hospitality;
• Acting on behalf of LGBTQ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer/Questioning) interests in a faith community; and
• Gathering occasionally to encourage conversation and share our stories in a safe and nurturing environment.

​NEIGHBORS leads Federated Church in observations such as Sacramento Pride Festival, Transgender Day of Remembrance, World AIDS Day, and our annual Celebration of Welcome.  Federated Church is a United Methodist Reconciling Congregation and a More Light Congregation of the Presbyterian Church USA.
